- In Bhopal, “Run For Life – Nashe Se Dastri Hai Mazhari 2.0” marathon gathered
- around 6,000 citizens and resolved to create a drug-free society.
Chief Minister Dr. Under the guidance of Mohan Yadav and the Director General of Police Mr. Kailash Makwana, the Bhopal Police Commissionerate organized a grand “Run For Life – Nashe se Dastri Hai Mazuri 2.0” marathon on Sunday under the “Nashe Se Dastri Hai Mazuri 2.0” campaign. TT Around 6000 citizens from different classes enthusiastically participated in this public awareness marathon which started from the city stadium and resolved to create a drug free, healthy and safe society. The purpose of the marathon was to make the youth and common people aware of the ill effects of drugs and inspire them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Active participation of students, sportspersons, social and voluntary organizations, members of Nagar Raksha Samiti, police officers and employees and a large number of citizens took place in the event. The participants conveyed the message through the race that creating a drug-free society is possible with public participation.
On this occasion Additional Director General of Police (Narcotics) Shri D. Srinivas Verma, Commissioner of Police Bhopal Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police Mrs. Monica Shukla, Additional Commissioner of Police Mr. Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Akhil Patel, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Mrs. Neetu Thakur, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Mrs. Rashmi Agarwal Dubey and senior officers and employees of the police department were present.
The marathon was organized in 2 km walkathon, 5 km run and 10 km marathon categories. In the program, Commissioner of Police Mr. Sanjay Kumar took an oath of drug freedom to all the participants and called upon them to play an active role in making the society drug free. At the end of the competition, the winners were felicitated with medals and certificates.
He expressed his gratitude to all the students, sportsmen, NGOs, social organizations, members of Nagar Raksha Samiti, citizens and all the departments who made the organization a success. Also, the people of the region were appealed to actively participate in the public awareness campaign against drug addiction and contribute to the creation of a healthy, safe and drug-free Madhya Pradesh.

This marathon organized under the campaign “Nashe Se Dastri Hai Mazhoori 2.0” became an effective example of public participation, health awareness and social responsibility and played an important role in bringing the concept of drug free Madhya Pradesh to the masses.
