 A better society can be created only by following the ideas of Baba Saheb: Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal

  • Baba Saheb’s birth anniversary was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Medical College and Ambedkar Hospital, a message was given for building a better society.

The birth anniversary of Constitution maker Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was celebrated today in a joyous and dignified atmosphere at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, Raipur. Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal was present as the chief guest in the program organized on this occasion. He paid floral tributes to the statue of Baba Saheb located in the hospital premises and remembered his messages. 

Addressing the program, Chief Guest Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that the biggest strength of a democratic country like India is its spirit of equality, where a person is identified not by his caste or community, but by his personality and actions. He said that Baba Saheb has made an incomparable contribution in strengthening this thinking.

He further stated that before independence, the downtrodden, the exploited, the oppressed, and the marginalized were often overlooked, but Baba Saheb fought for their rights, dignity, and justice, securing them a place in the mainstream. In this context, he recalled Guru Ghasidas Baba’s message of “Manke-Manke Ek Saman,” emphasizing the need for social harmony.

On this occasion, students from the Medical College presented a variety of cultural performances, effectively portraying the life and contributions of Babasaheb through dance, song, and drama. All those present pledged to carry forward Babasaheb’s ideas.
A large number of college and hospital officials, doctors, students, and staff attended the event.
