Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the ‘Seva Sankalp Yatra and Yuva Samvad’ program held today at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital, Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Sai extended a warm welcome and greetings on the soil of Chhattisgarh to the bike riders who had traveled from Vadnagar, Gujarat, as well as those who arrived from various districts of the Bastar division as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that a strong, self-reliant, and developed ‘New India’ is being built today under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Viewing the country’s 1.4 billion citizens as his own family, the Prime Minister remains continuously dedicated to nation-building with a spirit of service. Under his leadership, India has carved a new identity for itself globally, and the entire nation is now moving rapidly towards realizing the resolve of a ‘Developed India’ (Viksit Bharat) by the year 2047.
Chief Minister Shri Sai remarked that the ‘Seva Sankalp Yatra’ serves as a vital medium to connect the nation’s youth with the spirit of service, social commitment, and nation-building. Commencing from Vadnagar, Gujarat—the birthplace of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi—the journey is progressing towards Varanasi, his karmabhumi (place of work), carrying a message of service. During the journey, the youth are raising public awareness on crucial issues such as cleanliness, de-addiction, a TB-free India, and environmental conservation. This journey is further strengthening the sense of responsibility towards the nation and the spirit of service among the youth.
The Chief Minister noted that more than 15 million (1.5 crore) earthen lamps were lit across Chhattisgarh as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ on the occasion of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s birthday. The enthusiasm and warmth with which the people of the state participated in this event reflect the public’s affection and trust in the Prime Minister.
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shares a deep and personal bond with Chhattisgarh. He has spent a considerable amount of time in the state and has closely observed and understood the lives of its people. The Chief Minister mentioned that he had the opportunity to work with Prime Minister Modi in 2014 while serving as a Union Minister of State. During that time, he witnessed firsthand the Prime Minister’s work style, discipline, visionary approach, and dedication to serving the nation.
The Chief Minister noted that Prime Minister Modi has set the goal of building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by 2047 before the nation. Aligned with this objective, Chhattisgarh is also moving forward systematically to become a developed state. The state government has prepared a vision document for a ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’ and formulated an action plan tailored to future needs and possibilities. The government’s priority is to ensure that the benefits of development reach every region and every citizen of the state.
Highlighting the transformation in Bastar, Chief Minister Shri Sai remarked that an atmosphere of peace, trust, and development has strengthened in areas once plagued by violence and fear. Basic amenities such as roads, education, and healthcare have been expanded to remote regions. In this transforming Bastar, the new generation is now dreaming big about its future.
During the ‘Yuva Samvad’ (Youth Dialogue) held at the event, students from Bastar who are studying in Raipur schools—Govind Kumar, Drishti Dhruv, Deepak Markam, and Dina Uike—shared their experiences. Expressing happiness over the changes in Bastar, the students conveyed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They noted that basic facilities like schools, hospitals, and roads are now expanding even into remote areas of Bastar, and the elimination of the atmosphere of fear has instilled a new sense of confidence among children and the youth regarding their future. The students stated that the new generation of Bastar now dreams of serving the nation and the state by joining the Indian Army and civil services, as well as by excelling as doctors, engineers, and in other fields. Appreciating the students’ views, Chief Minister Shri Sai remarked that the dreams visible in the eyes of Bastar’s children represent the most heartening image of a transforming Chhattisgarh. The government strives to ensure that every child in the state receives quality education and equal opportunities for advancement.
While proposing the vote of thanks at the event, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Rajeev Shukla provided details about the ‘Seva Sankalp Yatra’ (Service Pledge Journey), noting that 1,200 youths are covering a distance of approximately 2,000 kilometers as part of this initiative. During the journey, the youth are spreading public awareness regarding various social issues, including cleanliness, a TB-free India, de-addiction, and environmental conservation.
