On Tuesday, as part of a campaign launched under the direction of Collector Mr. Ashish Tiwari to curb the illegal manufacture, sale, and transportation of liquor in the district, a joint team from the Excise Department, Circles Katni No. 1, 2, and 3, led by Mansha Ram Uike, Excise Control Room in-charge of Circle Katni No. 2, raided Machhariadera, Tilianpar village. District Excise Officer Ms. Vibha Markam stated that during the raid, 14 liters of hand-brewed liquor and 825 kilograms of mahua lahan were seized. The value of the seized hand-brewed liquor and mahua lahan is estimated at over 84,000 rupees. Samples of the seized mahua lahan were taken, and the remaining mahua lahan was destroyed on the spot. In this action, a total of six cases were registered under Sections 34 (1) (a) and 34 (1) (c) of the Excise Act, 1915. Circle No. 02 in-charge Atul Kutar, Excise Sub Inspector Keshav Uike, Aanchal Prajapati, Excise Constable Rajesh Gauntia, Veena Brahmavanshi and Ram Singh contributed in this action.
