Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Sunday at the Dussehra Maidan park in Indore, Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister. Bhoomipujan was performed for the installation of statue of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. A 25 feet tall statue and pedestal of Atal Ji is being constructed by Municipal Corporation, Indore in the park located at Annapurna Road Dussehra Maidan. The statue, which will be made at a cost of around Rs 197.13 lakh, will give lasting form to the memories of Atal ji, his personality and ideals of national service.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the installation of Atal Ji’s statue at a prominent public place like Dussehra Maidan is not just a memorial, but an important means of conveying his ideas and ideals to future generations. This image will familiarize the citizens, especially the youth, with Atal Ji’s life, patriotism, good governance, democratic values and his dedication to nation building.

The total cost of the project is Rs 197.13 lakh. The proposed statue will be 25 feet tall and will be constructed of gunmetal. The work of installation of the image and construction of the pedestal is proposed to be completed in a period of about four months. This image site itself.
