- Chhattisgarh’s glorious sports history and achievements of its players get a new platform on National Sports Day
- A photo exhibition showcases the lives and contributions of the state’s sports personalities, and a coffee table book compiles the achievements of international players.
On the occasion of National Sports Day, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai visited the photo exhibition focusing on the glorious sports history of Chhattisgarh and the achievements of the players and released the coffee table book ‘Humare Khiladi’ at the State Sports Awards Ceremony organized at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur today.
Chief Minister Shri Sai reviewed the photographs and information related to the lives, struggles, achievements, and contributions of Chhattisgarh’s sports personalities displayed in the photo exhibition. He praised this initiative to bring the state’s sports history and the achievements of the players to the new generation.
This special sports-themed photo exhibition presents the lives and contributions of many prominent figures from Chhattisgarh, including Martyr Rajiv Pandey, Martyr Pankaj Vikram, Martyr Kaushal Yadav, and Martyr Vinod Choubey, through photographs and interesting information. The exhibition also prominently showcases the life of Veer Hanuman Singh, his sporting pursuits, and his remarkable contributions to the sports world.
The exhibition effectively highlights the journey of the state’s sports talent from struggle to success. Along with the achievements of the athletes, it also highlights inspiring incidents that will encourage the new generation to pursue sports and inspire them to excel.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai also released the coffee table book “Humare Khiladi.” This coffee table book contains biographies, sports journeys, significant achievements, and contributions of the athletes who have brought glory to Chhattisgarh at the national and international levels, along with attractive photographs. This book will serve as an important medium for documenting the achievements of the state’s sporting talents and introducing Chhattisgarh’s rich sporting heritage to the new generation.
The photo exhibition and coffee table book “Humare Khiladi” was prepared by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department and the Public Relations Department. Through this exhibition, an effort has been made to present on one platform the sports history of Chhattisgarh, the state’s illustrious sports personalities, and the achievements of current players.
On this occasion, Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw, Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal, Technical Education Minister Shri Khuswant Saheb, MPs Shri Brijmohan Agrawal and Shri Vijay Baghel, MLAs Shri Purandar Mishra, Shri Motilal Sahu and Shri Sunil Soni, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Minority Commission Shri Amarjeet Chhabra, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission Shri Vishwavijay Singh Tomar, President of Olympic Association Dr. Vikram Sisodiya, officials of various sports associations, players, coaches and a large number of sports lovers were present.
