- 641.34 crore rupees will be transferred to the accounts of 68.47 lakh women in the state.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will release the 24th installment of the Chhattisgarh government’s Mahatari Vandan Yojana at a state-level program in Narayanpur on January 30. On this occasion, a total of Rs 641 crore 34 lakh will be transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the bank accounts of 68,39,592 eligible women in the state.
It is noteworthy that the Chhattisgarh government launched the Mahtari Vandan Yojana on March 1, 2024, with the aim of empowering women financially and making them self-reliant. Under this ambitious scheme, married women aged 21 years and above are being provided financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month, so that they can meet their daily needs and live a respectable life.
Since the scheme’s launch, a total of ₹14,954.42 crore has been transferred directly to the bank accounts of women in the state through 23 installments. This system is proving to be an effective initiative towards women’s empowerment while ensuring financial transparency.
With the release of the 24th installment of ₹641.34 crore by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the total amount disbursed under the Mahatari Vandan Yojana will increase to ₹15,595.77 crore. This achievement demonstrates the state government’s strong commitment to women’s welfare and empowerment and proves that millions of women in the state are directly benefiting from the scheme.
