Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has approved a sum of Rs 21,69,344 under the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme for the treatment of Mrs. Umatin Bai, a 66-year-old cancer patient from Korba district. With this assistance, she will be treated at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College (Mekahara) in Raipur.

According to reports, the family of Umatin Bai, who is suffering from lung cancer, submitted an application to the Chief Minister’s camp office in Bagiya, seeking assistance for treatment due to their financial constraints. Upon receiving the application, the matter was promptly addressed, and on the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, an amount of ₹21.69 lakh was approved for treatment under the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme.

This sensitive initiative by the Chief Minister has brought great relief to the patient and his family. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, the family said that receiving such significant financial assistance will now make better and timely treatment possible. They said that this support has brought strength and new hope to their family.
