- Instructions to ensure transparent delivery of benefits of schemes to the last person
- Priority given to improving the infrastructure of Anganwadi and school buildings
Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Mr. Vikassheel today conducted a detailed review of the implementation of people-oriented and important schemes of various departments at the Secretariat (Mahanadi Bhawan). During the meeting, he inquired about the action taken on the recommendations of the Fifth National Chief Secretaries Conference and directed officials to accelerate development work.
- Data-driven monitoring and good governance
The Chief Secretary clarified that the benefits of government schemes should reach the last person with complete transparency. To achieve this, he emphasized the need to further strengthen the data-driven monitoring system. A presentation was also given at the meeting on efforts being made towards good governance and capacity building through technology.
- Strengthening of education and Anganwadi infrastructure
Prioritizing education and child nutrition, the Chief Secretary made important decisions. In areas where Anganwadi buildings are scarce, instructions were given to operate Anganwadis in additional rooms in primary schools. To this end, he directed departmental officials to coordinate with collectors. He directed the development of a plan to construct additional rooms on a priority basis in schools lacking rooms under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
- Detailed review of departmental progress
During the meeting, the schemes of the School Education, Higher Education, Skill Development, Sports and Youth Welfare, and Women and Child Development departments were thoroughly reviewed. The current status of projects in important departments such as Health, Agriculture, Information Technology, Tribal Development, Tourism, Energy, and Revenue was also reviewed. The high-level meeting was attended by Principal Secretary of the Home Department, Mrs. Niharika Barik, Principal Secretary of the Law Department, Mrs. Sushma Sawant, Principal Secretary of Tribal Development, Mr. Sonmani Bora, Principal Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, Mrs. Shehla Nigar, along with the Secretaries of the School Education, Agriculture, Health, Tourism, and General Administration departments and other senior officials.
