  • 130 students showcased their creativity during the Adani Foundation’s ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ (Cleanliness is Service) campaign; winners felicitated
  • Various competitions held at Milupara School; Sarpanch and Site Head encouraged the children

Under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign, students at the Milupara Middle and High School conveyed a unique message about cleanliness through their creativity. Approximately 130 students participated in various competitions organized by the Adani Foundation. Through poster painting, slogan writing, and specifically the ‘Best Out of Waste’ (Kabaad se Jugaad) competition, the children raised awareness about environmental conservation and a clean lifestyle. Prior to the competitions, the students received special guidance, enabling them to create beautiful and meaningful models from discarded materials.

Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Uddhav Bhagat and Deputy Sarpanch Sitaram Chaudhary were present on the occasion. School Principal Mrs. Ilisba Lakra, along with teachers Vasudev Pradhan, Jayram Sidar, Meena Patel, Baldev Rathia, Pratibha Yadav, Lalita Bhoi, Champavati Sidar, and Kaushilya Sidar, encouraged the students. Representatives from the Adani Group—including the Site Head, the Head of the Environment Department, and the CSR team—also attended the event. They inspired the youth to make cleanliness a daily habit and to bring about positive change in society.

Students who performed exceptionally well in the competitions were awarded prizes at the end of the program. In the ‘Best Out of Waste’ competition, Class 10 student Meenu Gupta secured first place, Kinjal Lahre second, and Reema Gupta third. In the slogan writing competition, Class 8 student Reema Gupta stood first, Suman Kalanga second, and Savita Prajapati third. In the poster painting competition, Sohadrā Pradhan (Class 8) secured the first position, while Anju Sidar and Pinky Rathia took the second and third places, respectively.

To ensure the event’s success, the Adani Foundation provided all participants with essential materials such as drawing paper, colored pencils, erasers, and sharpeners. Praising the children, the Site Head remarked that cleanliness is a social responsibility and that children are the most effective medium for spreading this message within their families and society. Meanwhile, Principal Mrs. Ilisba Lakra commended the initiative, noting that such activities foster a practical understanding of social issues among children.

Representatives from the Adani Foundation stated that student-centric initiatives focusing on topics like cleanliness play a pivotal role in raising awareness at the community level. An informed student can become a catalyst for widespread social change by conveying the message of cleanliness to their family and neighbors. With this objective in mind, the Adani Foundation regularly organizes such public-interest and awareness programs.
