On the occasion of National Cooperative Week, the Cooperative Flag Hoisting Programme was held in a very joyous and dignified atmosphere in various Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Societies of Sarangarh- Bilaigarh district. Many public representatives of the region, departmental officers and a large number of farmers were present in the main programme organised at Sahaspur Committee.
Addressing the gathering, guests and speakers elaborated on the importance of cooperatives. They stated that the cooperative movement is the true backbone of the rural economy. Speakers emphasized that empowering farmers economically through cooperatives is the government’s top priority.
- Reading of the bye-laws for transparency

Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, special meetings were held in all the committees. The farmers and committee members present at these meetings were provided with important information by reading the organization’s bylaws in detail. The primary objective of this unique initiative was to make farmers aware of the committee’s rules, their rights, and cooperative processes, so that the objectives of the cooperative could be implemented at the grassroots level with complete transparency.
Cooperative society managers, board members, local rural public representatives, and progressive farmers from the region were present in large numbers on this solemn occasion.
