Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is leading in the field of health and medical education as a result of public participation. Suman Panchayats will be instrumental in bringing innovation and good results as Panchayats who are active in keeping villagers especially children healthy will be given incentives and certificates. Even at present Matru Vandana Yojana is working better with public participation to save daughters from cervical cancer and save children from other diseases including measles. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has worked to establish the highest standards in the field of health. He showed strong will to tackle a major crisis like Covid. Today, meaningful work is being done throughout the country in the direction of reducing maternal and child mortality rates and controlling diseases through awareness. Many health programs in Madhya Pradesh have given good results. This campaign for public welfare will continue. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav RCVP Naronha was addressing the state level program at the Academy of Administration and Management, Bhopal.
Chief Minister Dr. On the occasion, Yadav unveiled the State Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) Action Plan 2.0, an important initiative towards strengthening the public health system of the state, the launch of the “Suman Panchayat” scheme, an innovative initiative based on public participation. Along with this, health booklets were launched and short films related to health awareness were also shown.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that no one has seen God but the care and treatment given by the doctor with care makes the patient healthy. This relationship is the form of God who is the physician. The Department of Health and Medical Punishment was merged in Madhya Pradesh. In Madhya Pradesh, schemes related to public health are being implemented best. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav launched a drug drive to save three children from polio under the National Pulse Polio Campaign at Kukru in Betul district on Sunday morning and symbolically administered drug to five children in a special program held at the Administration Academy. Under the campaign, medicine will be administered to children by going door to door on June 29 and 30.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is top in the country in saving girls from cervical cancer. These results are achieved through the collective efforts of the health department doctors, officials, para-medical staff, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, health workers, public representatives and citizens, for which all deserve congratulations.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also felicitated the districts that performed well in HPV vaccination campaign and healthy liver mission. Among these districts, Rajgarh, Dindauri and Morena have been ranked first, second and third respectively for prevention of cervical cancer. Balaghat was awarded first place, Chhindwara second place and Shajapur third place in the work done under Swasth Liver Mission.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Dr. Yadav has given guidance for the best work in the health sector. After making our country and region financially strong, most attention has been given to the health sector. Madhya Pradesh is ahead in providing various types of health services to the citizens and implementing the schemes on the ground. More than eight lakh girls have been successfully vaccinated against HPV in a period of just two months. Such success has been achieved in the work of Healthy Liver Mission. About one and a half crore people’s livers were examined in less than a year. About two and a half thousand non-alcoholic fatty liver patients have been identified in the region. Madhya Pradesh has succeeded in increasing the pace of improvement in the field of Maternal and Child Rates as well. Emphasis is also being laid on early detection of disease. By making every panchayat aware through Suman Panchayat Yojana, good results will be achieved in the health sector.
The Minister of State for Public Health and Medical Education Shri Narendra Shivaji Patel said that many innovations are being made in the health sector in the region with Suman Panchayat ie (Safe Motherhood Assurance). In order to understand the importance of a healthy liver, a large-scale screening has been carried out under the mission to identify patients who do not consume alcohol etc. but are affected by the problem of excess fat accumulation in the liver. This screening function will prove useful in identifying this symptom which is caused by a faulty lifestyle and leading to improvement.
- National Pulse Polio Mission: 1.07 crore children will get additional protection
The program explained why 1.07 crore children between the age of 5 years were targeted with additional doses of anti-polio vaccine from June 28 to 30 under the National Pulse Polio Campaign. About 83 thousand polio booths, 1.66 lakh vaccinators and 26 thousand supervisors have been deployed for the successful operation of the campaign. Next 29th and 30th June polio medicine will be given to the abandoned children from house to house. 3800 transit booths at railway stations, bus stands, airports and other public places and 1400 special mobile teams for passenger and high risk areas were given responsibility.
- ‘Suman Panchayat’ will give strength to maternal and child health security
The objective of the “Suman Panchayat” (Safe Motherhood Assurance Panchayat) scheme launched in the region is to ensure active participation of the community in reducing maternal and child mortality. Those panchayats which have no cases of maternal death and death of children under five years of age and measles and rubella for one year will be awarded an incentive of one lakh rupees and a certificate of appreciation. The initiative will promote institutional delivery, routine immunization, nutrition and timely identification of high-risk pregnancies.
- Effective initiatives towards control of anti-microbial resistance
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav unveiled the State Anti-Microbial Resistance Action Plan 2.0. The program informed that increasing resistance resulting from inappropriate use of antibiotics has become a serious challenge for global public health. Prepared in line with the National Action Plan of the Government of India, this State Action Plan emphasizes public awareness, infection control, strengthening of laboratory capacity, prudent management of antibiotic use, research and multi-sectoral coordination based on the “One Health” approach.
- HPV vaccination of 764 thousand adolescents in the state and screening of more than 1 crore 49 lakh
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav during the program targeted around 8.03 lakh eligible adolescent girls of the state under the HPV vaccination campaign, out of which the state achieved almost 96 percent target by vaccinating more than 7.64 lakh adolescent girls. MP has made it to the leading states of the country. More than 149.26 lakh people have been screened in the state from June 2025 to March 2026 in the Swasthya Liver Mission. Under the mission, timely detection, investigation and treatment of liver diseases including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is being ensured. Along with this, widespread public awareness towards balanced diet, regular exercise and healthy lifestyle is also being developed.
Additional Chief Secretary Public Health and Family Welfare Mr. Ashok Barnwal, Health Commissioner Mr. Dhanaraju, MD of NHM Mrs. Saloni Sidana and other officials, doctors, health workers, health communication representatives were present in large numbers. In the beginning, the guests were welcomed. The program started with national anthem Vande Mataram and ended with national anthem Jan-Gana-Mana.
