Deputy Chief Minister and Kawardha MLA Shri Vijay Sharma spoke to the first student of the district to take admission in Kawardha Medical College, Shri Himanshu Devangan, resident of Sahaspur Lohara, over the phone from Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur and congratulated him and wished him a bright future. Medical education is starting in Kawardha Medical College from this academic session with 50 MBBS seats and coincidentally, the student taking admission in the first session of the college is a resident of Kawardha district itself. It is a matter of pride for the district that a new chapter of medical education in Kawardha has started with the admission of a talented student from the district itself.

During his conversation with the student, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma inquired in detail about his schooling, preparation for the NEET exam, and the counseling process for admission to medical college. Himanshu stated that he had scored 83 percent in Class 12 and 512 on the NEET exam. He also attended coaching in Bhilai to prepare for NEET. During the conversation, the student also shared his interest in medical education and further information regarding his studies.

The opening of the medical college has provided a new opportunity for students from Kawardha district and surrounding areas to advance in the field of medical education. Now students will be less dependent on other big cities for medical education and medical education facilities will be available within the district itself. The student admitted in the first session of the medical college is also a resident of Sahaspur Lohara in Kawardha district.
