Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai’s deep connection with his soil and farming was once again visible today. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai reached his farm in his native village Bagiya in Jashpur district this morning and ploughed the fields traditionally with a pair of oxen. Reaching the field and holding the handle of the plough, Chief Minister Shri Sai naturally appeared in the role of a farmer. During this, he also shared his old memories related to farming.
Chief Minister Shri Sai, while enjoying the sweet smell of soil in a lush green field and working with oxen, said that there is a unique joy in being connected to one’s village, one’s soil, and one’s farm. Holding the plow handle brings back old memories of farming. Spending time in the fields brings immense peace to the mind and fills it with new energy.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that he himself comes from a family of farmers and has closely observed and experienced farming since childhood. For him, farming is not just a means of livelihood, but a way of life. It is the villages and farms that have taught him to respect labor, live in harmony with nature, and remain connected to his roots.
He said that Chhattisgarh’s identity is linked to its soil, hardworking farmers, and rich agricultural traditions. Agriculture plays an important role in the state’s economy and socio-cultural life. For generations, our farmers have been strengthening the foundation of the state’s prosperity by irrigating the land with their hard work.
