- Approximately 500 children across three government schools to receive free nutritional support
- Initiative to boost children’s health and learning capabilities
Taking a significant step towards improving children’s nutrition and health, the state’s Education Minister, Shri Gajendra Yadav, launched the ‘SaiSure Nutrition Program’ pilot project in Chhattisgarh on Thursday, in collaboration with the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust. In the first phase of this program—initiated across three government schools in Raipur district—approximately 500 children will be provided with free nutritional support.
- Children from these schools to benefit

Under the pilot project, SaiSure Nutrition will be provided to children at Naveen Primary School (Navagaon), Primary and Middle School (Parsada), and the Government School (Cherikhedi).
The program’s primary objective is to foster the health, concentration, learning capacity, and overall development of school children by providing regular nutritional support.
- A vision linking nutrition to education

Dignitaries present at the launch included Shri Anand Kadali (Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust), officials from the Education Department, school teachers, the team from Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, and other distinguished guests. The guests formally inaugurated the program by distributing SaiSure Nutrition to the children.
According to the Trust, morning nutritional services are currently reaching over 10 million (one crore) school children across 25 states and 4 Union Territories in the country.

It is noteworthy that in July 2026, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited Sathya Sai Gram, Muddenahalli, and met Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai. Discussions were held regarding potential collaboration in the fields of nutrition, health, and education. Following this, the initiative to launch the SaiSure Nutrition program in Chhattisgarh was undertaken. Education Minister Mr. Yadav stated that only a well-nourished child can learn effectively. Based on the experiences gained from this pilot program—launched with approximately 500 children in Raipur district—it will be expanded in the future to other regions of the state and to more government schools.
