- Farmer Ramsai is moving towards modern farming with the incentive amount of paddy.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government’s Krishak Unnati Yojana is providing economic support to farmers. The incentives given to farmers selling paddy under the scheme are not only strengthening their financial situation but also encouraging the use of modern agricultural equipment. This is empowering farmers to become self-reliant and self-sufficient.
Mr. Ramsai, a farmer from Chakeri village in the Udaipur development block of Surguja district, cultivates approximately 3.5 acres of agricultural land. This year, he sold 69 quintals of paddy to the cooperative society at the support price. After selling the paddy, he received an incentive (bonus) of approximately 50,000 rupees under the Krishak Unnati Yojana. He added some personal money to this amount and purchased a tractor, which has given his farming a new impetus.
Ramsai explains that previously, most farming tasks required relying on others, which was both time-consuming and costly. With the availability of tractors, other farming tasks, including plowing, are now completed more quickly and easily. This has reduced dependence on others and lowered the cost of farming. Timely agricultural work is also helping to increase production.
He said that farmers are benefiting from the Krishak Unnati Yojana. The incentives received from the scheme have allowed them to purchase modern agricultural equipment, making farming more convenient and profitable.
Farmer Ramsai expressed his gratitude to the Chhattisgarh government, saying that farmer-friendly initiatives like the Krishak Unnati Yojana are not only providing financial support to farmers but also inspiring them to adopt modern farming. He said that this scheme is playing an important role in making farmers self-reliant and prosperous.
