- “Motorcycles, ice boxes and fishing nets will boost business, increase income.”
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai attended the Samadhan Camp organized in the Gram Panchayat Badekanera of Kondagaon district on Monday as part of the Good Governance Festival. On this occasion, the Fisheries Department provided various modern equipment and materials to fishermen and beneficiaries involved in the fisheries business in the district to enhance their livelihoods. Chief Minister Shri Sai presented motorcycles and ice boxes to Shri Kamal Singh Netam of village Malakot and Shri Narendra Kashyap of village Joba. These resources will enable both beneficiaries to safely transport their fish to distant markets, giving a new impetus to their businesses. The beneficiaries expressed that previously, they faced considerable difficulties in transporting and preserving fish. The availability of ice boxes will preserve the quality of the fish for a longer period and fetch better prices in the market. The motorcycles will also facilitate transportation, saving time and cost.
Modern nets will increase production.
During the program, modern fishing nets were distributed to Mr. Lalit Baghel and Mr. Ramlal Netam of Badekanera village. The beneficiaries explained that receiving the new nets will help increase fish production and make the business more organized and profitable.
