- Appeal to the general public to be frugal
Responding positively to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for the national interest, Governor Ramen Deka has reduced the number of vehicles in his official convoy. He has also appealed to the public to practice frugality. Governor Deka not only implemented the Prime Minister’s appeal himself but also expects the state government to take immediate and effective steps in this direction. Governor Deka
made a special appeal to the public regarding all the points mentioned by the Prime Minister, including minimizing the use of private vehicles, increasing the use of public transport, and judicious use of domestic resources. He emphasized that every citizen must play their part in strengthening the country’s economy. He urged the public to maximize the use of public transportation and electronically operated vehicles. He also urged the public to control and maintain need-based domestic gas consumption.
