Gwalior will reach beyond Punjab and Haryana in the field of agriculture: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

  • The state government will provide all possible support in making Gwalior a metropolitan city.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav ne kaha Gwalior ka name Leyte hi glory ki feeling hoti hai. Gwalior is as famous for its music as Samrat Tansen, it is also famous for its gazaks, farmers and jawans. Gwalior division is leading in the entire region in education, defence, agriculture, food processing and milk production. Gwalior will also reach beyond Punjab and Haryana in the field of agriculture. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the program organized under “Balram Krishi Mahotsav” at Dabra Tehsil premises of Gwalior district virtually. He said that the government is celebrating the current year as Kisan Kalyan Varsh. Under this, “Balram Krishi Mahotsav” is being celebrated for the service and prosperity of farmers. Bhopal Chief Minister Dr. Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Minister of Horticulture, Food Processing and Social Justice was also present with Yadav.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Gwalior is moving towards development with speed. Gwalior is also going to be a big hub for telecom industries. He said sandstone of Gwalior region, yellow gold i.e. mustard, wheat like Kanak and lentils and chickpeas have waved the flag of Gwalior district all over the country. Gwalior is sure to surpass Punjab and Haryana in the field of agriculture. The Chief Minister also appreciated Lal Tipara, the largest model cowshed of the region located in Gwalior. He said other gaushalas are being established in the region taking inspiration from this gaushala.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav called upon the farmers present in the program to make their Farmer ID. This ID will provide farmers with the benefits of government schemes and also provide them with important information related to farming. Know the strength of your farm. Instead of depending only on traditional crops, adopt crop diversification and natural farming and improve animal husbandry. Dairy production is an immediate means of economic development.

Electricity will also be available at night for irrigation of Rabi crops

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government will now provide electricity to the farmer brothers for irrigation of rabi crops like wheat and chickpeas even during the day. He also said that the government has taken an ambitious decision to establish Vrindavan villages under each assembly constituency for the benefit of farmers. This will progress the village. Similarly, Gita Bhavans are being built in cities. On this occasion, the Chief Minister called upon the farmers to protect their land and avoid wasteful expenditure in marriages. Get your sons and daughters married in a mass wedding ceremony. The Chief Minister also congratulated everyone on Rakshabandhan and Janmashtami.

Apex Bank Administrator Mr. Mahendra Singh Yadav along with other guests inaugurated the Agricultural Festival by lighting a lamp in front of the picture of Lord Balram in the “Balram Krishi Mahotsav” held at Dabra Mandi premises. Progressive farmers of the district and meritorious children of farmers were honored on the stage in the program. Along with this, benefits were also distributed under various schemes of the government. Exhibitions on new agricultural techniques, organic farming, modern agricultural machinery, drone technology and advanced animal husbandry were also organized on this occasion. Along with this, agricultural experts told the farmers about the details of natural farming, crop diversification and advanced agriculture.

  • In Kisan Kalyan Varsha, new dimensions are being added to the interests of farmers

Apex Bank Administrator Shri Mahendra Singh Yadav addressing the program said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has decided to consider the current year as Kisan Kalyan Varsha. His Kisan-friendly initiative is highly commendable. Under Kisan Kalyan Varsh, many new dimensions are being added in the region for the benefit of farmers. He said that a special campaign is being run to get membership in cooperatives in the region. Now it is the responsibility of all of us that the schemes of the government reach the farmers.

  • Information about digital agriculture services from drone technology to farmers

In the program being organized under the “Balram Agricultural Festival” in Dabra, farmers were informed about digital agricultural services, weather based farming, soil health management, drone technology, smart irrigation, advanced agricultural machinery and modern agricultural management systems through exhibitions and subject matter experts. The agricultural experts also apprised the farmers about new methods of farming in accordance with the changing climate, use of modern technologies in crop production and effective management of agricultural risks. On this occasion, other farmers including Mr. Pran Singh, a farmer of Bilaua, who is successfully doing natural farming, also shared their experiences. Beautiful and patriotic cultural programs were also presented in the agricultural festival.

In the “Balram Agriculture Festival” former Minister Smt. Imrati Devi, coordinator of Balram Festival and Cultural Cell being organized across the region Mr. Kapil Yarde, Mr. Prem Singh Rajput, President of Janpad Panchayat Dabra Mrs. Pravesh Gurjar, Vice President of Zilla Panchayat Mrs. Priyanka Singh Ghuraiya, District President of Kisan Morcha Mr. Amardeep Olakh and other public representatives and Collector Ruchika Chauhan, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat Mrs. Sojan Singh Rawat, SDM Dabra Mrs. Juhi Garg and Deputy Director Kisan Welfare and Agricultural Development Mr. Bhanu Prakash Sharma along with officials of various departments and progressive farmers from across the district were present.
