The Talent Search 2026 is being organized by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare with the aim of providing world class training to the emerging sports talents of the region, under which the selection trials for admission to **Madhya Pradesh State Triathlon Academy** were successfully organized in Bhopal from **6th to 8th July 2026**. Three Day Selection Process **T.T. It was held at Nagar Stadium**, **International Stadium Barkheda Nathu** and **Prakash Taran Pushkar**, in which the physical ability, technical proficiency and stamina of the players were comprehensively evaluated.
- Swimming, the full potential of the athletes was tested in cycling and running
Keeping in mind the requirements of a challenging sport like triathlon, the participants were tested on various parameters of **swimming, cycling, running, physical fitness and overall technical proficiency**. The entire process under the supervision of the selection committee was transparent, fair and completed in accordance with the prescribed standards.
- Of the regionSportsmen from two states along with 12 districts showed their partnership
A total of **37 players** participated in the selection trials, including **31 boys and 6 girls**. Along with **12 districts** of Madhya Pradesh, players from **Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra** also participated and made the competition competitive. This participation reflects the region’s growing interest and confidence in the sport of triathlon.
- Most participants from Burhanpur, a remarkable partnership of girl players
**Burhanpur** led the district wise participation with maximum **7 players** including **4 girls players**. Apart from this, athletes from various districts including Bhopal, Shivpuri, Rewa, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur, Indore, Gwalior, Rajgarh, Satna, Itarsi and Baitul also displayed their talent impressively.
The performance of the players strengthened the future prospects
During the trials, many players displayed great endurance, technical skills, discipline and competitiveness. The selection committee termed the performance of the athletes as positive from the point of view of long-term development and considered it a sign of a bright future for the sport of triathlon in the region.
Selected players will be announced separately after a transparent process
After the successful completion of the three-day selection process, the final evaluation and approval of the performance of all the players will now be done. The list of selected players will be released separately after completion of the prescribed process.
The aim of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department is to prepare the talented sportspersons of the region for excellent performance at the national and international level by providing them with high level training, modern sports infrastructure and expert guidance.
