Marginal farmer Narendra Singh received fertilizers and seeds on time, boosting farming.

Time is the greatest asset in farming. If a farmer has access to fertilizers, seeds, and manure at the right time, half his worries are automatically alleviated. Narendra Singh, a marginal farmer from Chaunpur village in the Manendragarh development block of the MCD district, has found timely access to fertilizers and seeds to boost his farming.
Narendra Singh owns a total of 1,780 hectares of agricultural land, including 1,780 hectares of unirrigated land. Due to limited resources, arranging timely agricultural inputs has always been challenging. However, this year, the Adivasi Jati Seva Sahakari Samiti Limited, Chaunpur Branch, Manendragarh, alleviated this concern. The committee provided him with the necessary agricultural inputs for the Kharif crop through a loan, enabling him to prepare for his farming on time without any financial pressure.
The committee also provided him with a 50-kilogram bag of IPL. He was provided with a MOP containing potash (MOP), a 500 ml bottle of IFFCO Nano DAP, four 45 kg bags of NFL neem-coated urea, and two 30 kg bags of Lohari Korea paddy (MTU-1156) from the Chhattisgarh State Seed Corporation. These agricultural inputs played a crucial role in starting his Kharif season on time and strengthened his hopes for a better harvest.
Narendra Singh says that if fertilizers and seeds had not been available on time, delays in sowing could have affected production. Easy access to agricultural inputs through the cooperative not only brought him relief, but also raised hopes of a good harvest due to the availability
of quality seeds and fertilizers. He believes that modern agricultural techniques and balanced fertilizer use will improve production this year and increase his family income. This success story demonstrates the crucial role cooperatives play in ensuring timely availability of quality fertilizers, seeds, and fertilizers to farmers. The benefits of the government’s farmer-friendly system are reaching directly to the fields, due to which the confidence of marginal and small farmers is increasing and they are moving forward towards becoming self-reliant by doing farming with more enthusiasm.
