- Deputy Chief Minister unveiled the statue of martyr Veer Narayan Singh and also participated in the Tribal Conference.

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in charge of Bemetara district, Shri Arun Sao, unveiled a grand statue of martyr Veer Narayan Singh in Bemetara and paid homage to him. After the statue unveiling, he attended the district-level tribal grand conference held in the agricultural produce market premises. At the event, he announced Rs 10 lakh for the renovation of Gondwana Bhavan and Rs 6 crore for various development works in Bemetara. MLA Shri Dipesh Sahu also attended the event.
Addressing the Tribal Conference, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Saw said that martyr Veer Narayan Singh was a great son of Chhattisgarh’s soil, who valiantly fought against the British rule to help the poor and needy. His entire life was filled with struggle, service, and patriotism. He had a deep sense of service to society and a deep love for his motherland. He championed the rights of the poor and oppressed under adverse circumstances. He never bowed to British oppression and sacrificed everything for his country.
Mr. Saw said that Chhattisgarh has been the proud land of many brave warriors and public heroes. Great warriors like Martyr Veer Narayan Singh and Gundadhur, through their courage, set an example of dedication to society and motherland. Our future generations will always remember the sacrifice and self-denial of these brave sons.
He said that this statue of Martyr Veer Narayan Singh, installed in Bemetara, will perpetuate the memory of his sacrifice and self-denial. This statue will send a message to the youth to move forward in national and social service. He said that it is our responsibility to honor the great men who gave their all for the country and society.
President of Central Gond Mahasabha Dhamdhagarh, Mr. Kamlesh Sori, District President of Sarva Adivasi Samaj, Mr. Murit Mandavi, District President of Gond Samaj, Mr. Darbar Singh Netam, President of Bemetara Municipality, Mr. Vijay Sinha, Vice President, Mr. Ashok Sharma, former MLA, Mr. Awadhesh Chandel and Mr. Ajay Sahu, along with many public representatives, office bearers of Gond Samaj and eminent citizens were also present in the Adivasi Mahasammelan.
