MATS University successfully organized ‘Diksharambh – Orientation Programme 2026’ with the objective of making the beginning of the academic journey of newly admitted students meaningful, inspiring, and enriching. The programme was attended by distinguished guests, senior university officials, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and a large number of newly admitted students.
The programme commenced with Saraswati Vandana, lamp lighting, the National Song, and the National Anthem. A welcome dance presented by the students added a vibrant cultural touch to the occasion. Following the Indian tradition of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’, the distinguished guests were welcomed with books as a gesture symbolizing knowledge and learning.
Dr. Umesh Gupta, Head of the Department of Commerce and Management, delivered the welcome address and warmly welcomed the newly admitted students to the MATS University family. He encouraged them to remain disciplined, committed to continuous learning, and focused on their goals. Thereafter, the Heads of various Departments (HODs) welcomed the students and briefed them about their respective academic disciplines, opportunities, and guidance available at the University. The programme was attended by the Heads of Departments, faculty members, and a large number of students from the Hindi, English, Information Technology, Fashion Designing, and Library Sciences Departments.
The programme was graced by the presence of Director General Shri Priyesh Pagariya, who extended his best wishes and congratulations to the students for their bright future and encouraged them to remain dedicated to their goals and continue moving forward with determination. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. K.P. Yadav highlighted the importance of discipline, innovation, leadership, and holistic personality development along with education. He encouraged students to make the best use of the academic and co-curricular opportunities available at the University.
Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Gajraj Pagariya, in his inspiring address, encouraged students to set ambitious goals and pursue them with hard work, positive thinking, and strong determination.
The major highlight of the programme was the inspiring and informative address by IAS Shri Rahul Deo Ji. Sharing his experiences with the students, he spoke extensively about leadership, discipline, hard work, opportunities, challenges, and success. He emphasized that talent alone is not sufficient for success and that consistent effort, discipline, a positive outlook, and commitment towards one’s goals are equally essential. His address infused the students with renewed energy, confidence, and motivation. Thereafter, Hon’ble Chancellor and Director General felicitated IAS Shri Rahul Dev Ji by presenting him with a memento as a token of appreciation.
Following the formal programme, various fun games and activities were organized by the senior students for the newly admitted students. The students participated enthusiastically in these activities, which were thoroughly enjoyed by the gathering. The games provided the newly admitted students with an opportunity to interact with one another, make new friends, and become more comfortable with the University environment. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions, further enhancing their enthusiasm and participation.
At the conclusion of the programme, Registrar Shri Gokulananda Panda delivered the vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude to all the distinguished guests, university officials, faculty members, staff, and students for their valuable contribution to the success of the programme. The event concluded with a group photograph of the dignitaries and senior university officials.
‘Diksharambh – Orientation Programme 2026’ proved to be a memorable and inspiring experience for the newly admitted students.
