Monitoring of tribal schemes gains new momentum

  • Minister Shri Netam flagged off 8 new vehicles
  • There will be speed in the implementation of departmental schemes

Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam took a significant initiative to accelerate the effective implementation of schemes under the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department by flagging off new departmental vehicles for eight districts. On this occasion, he said that the lack of vehicle facilities for the operation and monitoring of schemes in the plains had been felt for a long time, and this is now being addressed. This will further strengthen the reach of departmental activities in remote and forested areas.

Minister Shri Netam said that the state government’s objective is to ensure that the benefits of the government’s public welfare schemes reach the last person in a timely manner. The availability of new vehicles will facilitate officials and field staff at the district and block levels in implementing schemes, inspecting, monitoring, and reaching out to beneficiaries. This will accelerate the implementation of schemes for Specially Backward Tribes and Scheduled Castes.

Minister Netam praised the efforts of departmental officials, stating that despite limited resources, the department continues to perform well. He particularly praised the efforts of the department’s Principal Secretary, Sonmani Bora, saying that his special coordination and initiative enabled the vehicles to be made available after obtaining approval from the Finance Department. He said that in the future, efforts will be made to provide other necessary resources at the district and block levels as well, so that the schemes can be implemented more effectively. Departmental officials described this as an important step towards strengthening the field machinery of the Tribal Development Department.

Department’s Joint Secretary Mr. B.K. Rajput, Additional Director Mr. Sanjay Gaur, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Pragyan Seth and other officers and employees of the department were present in the program.
