Namo Drone Didi scheme is saving farmers money and time.

The Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai government is implementing the Namo Drone Didi Yojana (Namo Drone Didi Yojana) to empower women from self-help groups by equipping them with drone technology to provide agricultural services. Under the scheme, women are trained in drone operation and empowered to use drones in agriculture. Selected women or groups are provided with drones and accessories, along with financial assistance to cover drone-related expenses.
Godavari Sahu, a Namo Drone Didi from Sargaon Nagar Panchayat in Mungeli district, explained that she is a member of the Jai Mata Di Women’s Self-Help Group under Bihan. Under the Namo Drone Yojana, she received a 15-day training in Gwalior through IFFCO, which included theoretical and practical training, as well as ground-level drone operation. This was followed by a five-day training in drone technology in Phulpur. She now uses drones to spray nano urea, nano DAP, and pesticides on farmers’ fields. This is saving farmers money and time. Drones also prevent air pollution. He explained that drones can spray pesticides on 20 to 25 acres of land in a single day, saving farmers money on labor and time. A
farmer in the village explained that previously, they used agricultural equipment to spray pesticides on their sugarcane crops. Due to the high height of the sugarcane crop, it took them a long time to reach the crop and spray pesticides, creating numerous challenges. Now, they have found a powerful tool, Drone Didi, to spray pesticides on their crops in less time and at a lower cost. He expressed his gratitude to the government for the excellent schemes implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai for the benefit of farmers.
