Narayanpur district administration provides major relief – Thulthuli villagers no longer have to walk 25 km; rations are available in the village itself.

The Narayanpur district administration has achieved a major breakthrough in ensuring that the Chhattisgarh government’s public welfare schemes reach the last person. Following the Collector’s instructions, the district administration is taking special initiatives to ensure essential services in remote and inaccessible areas. Beneficiaries of Gram Panchayat Thulthuli no longer have to travel miles for rations. They have been provided with food grains in their own village under the Public Distribution System ( PDS
). “Tractor-Crossed Difficult Roads,”
         the District Food Officer stated. Despite the geographically difficult and inaccessible terrain, the food grains were safely transported from Orchha via tractor. The ration was transported directly to Thulthuli village and distributed in a camp-like manner. The benefited families include 343 Antyodaya ration card holders, 1 destitute ration card holder, and 1 APL ration card holder.

  • ‘Foot blisters are avoided, time and money are also saved’

   Previously, the villagers of Thulthuli had to travel approximately 25 kilometers on foot to Orchha to obtain rations. This rocky and forested route was particularly challenging for the elderly, women, and the disabled. The villagers’ faces lit up upon receiving rations in their own villages. Expressing gratitude to the district administration, they said that this sensitive initiative has significantly saved them time, labor, and money.
        The Narayanpur district administration maintains that providing basic amenities and essential services in remote and inaccessible areas like Abujhmad is their top priority. The administration is continuously working diligently at the grassroots level to ensure that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach the most marginalized sections of society in a seamless and effective manner.
