- ‘Chunnulal Sahu of Karuhanar is getting help in seeds, fertilizers and agricultural work’
In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to empower farmers economically, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) is providing a source of support for farmers in Mungeli district. Thousands of farmers are benefiting from the scheme, leading to positive changes in the agricultural sector. The financial assistance provided through the scheme is providing significant relief to farmers in their farming endeavors. Chunnulal Sahu, a farmer from Karuhanar village in the Lormi development block, praised the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, stating that the annual assistance of ₹6,000 provided under the scheme is proving extremely useful in agricultural pursuits. He explained that this amount easily covers essential expenses for seeds, fertilizers, and other agricultural activities, reducing financial burden.
Sahu stated that he has received 22 installments of the scheme so far. He added that this government-sponsored scheme has become a source of support for farmers. The timely receipt of funds facilitates crop preparation and increases confidence in agricultural pursuits. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, he said that the farmer-friendly schemes of the government are strengthening the rural economy and farmers are becoming self-reliant.
