The effective implementation of the VB-G Ramji Yojana (Developed India – G Ramji Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme) in Dhamtari district has strengthened this confidence. Under the scheme, rural workers are provided with local employment and their wages are being transferred directly to their bank accounts within the stipulated timeframe.
Since July 1, 2026, a total of ₹53.91 lakh has been paid to 5,964 workers in the district at a rate of ₹300 per day. The workers’ wages were transferred directly to their bank accounts within 15 days, as per the prescribed provisions. This timely payment system is providing financial comfort to the workers and also building trust in the scheme.

Chief Executive Officer of the Dhamtari District Panchayat, Mr. Jayant Nahata, stated that in accordance with the government’s intention, special emphasis is being placed on providing timely employment to every eligible worker under the VB-G Ramji Scheme and ensuring wage payment within the stipulated timeframe. The scheme’s implementation and payment process are being regularly monitored to ensure that workers do not face any unnecessary delays in receiving their wages.
He said that direct wage transfers to workers’ bank accounts have strengthened transparency and accountability in the system. The direct payment system ensures workers receive their hard-earned wages on time, increasing both their trust and participation in the scheme.
