Mr. Tank Ram Verma, Minister for Revenue and Higher Education, inaugurated a newly constructed stage and an ‘Amrit Sarovar’ (rejuvenated water body) today during a program focused on development and public service in Saguni village, Tilda block, Raipur district. On this occasion, he honored teachers for their outstanding services and distributed supplementary nutrition to women. Minister Verma stated that the pace of holistic development in the Baloda Bazar assembly constituency has been accelerated, giving a new dimension to development activities in the region.
- Priority on Access to Basic Amenities
Minister Verma clarified that there is no shortage of funds for development works across the approximately 260 villages and two municipalities of the Baloda Bazar assembly constituency. Allocations for development projects are being made without any discrimination to ensure that every panchayat and village receives equal benefits. Access to education, healthcare, drinking water, and basic amenities is being ensured in every village on a priority basis.
- Strengthening the Education System and Anganwadis
Infrastructure improvements are underway on a large scale to provide a better educational environment for rural children. Additional classrooms and Anganwadi buildings are being constructed in 40 schools across Tilda block. Construction work for drinking water facilities, boundary walls, and toilets in schools is being completed rapidly. Similarly, the construction of Anganwadi centers, playgrounds, and community sheds in every village has been included in the priority list.
- Special Focus on Village Transformation and Infrastructure Development
Special emphasis is being placed on infrastructure development to elevate the standard of living in rural areas. A sum of ₹2 crore has been sanctioned and released for the installation of new streetlights in 50 villages of the constituency. Works such as the construction of cremation grounds (Muktidham), the beautification of ponds, and the construction of ritual platforms (Pinda-Butra) are underway in the villages. Development projects worth approximately ₹15 crore have been sanctioned through the Revenue Department, which will further strengthen rural infrastructure.

Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma has called upon all citizens to celebrate September 17—marking both Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti and the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi—with great enthusiasm by lighting lamps. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Chhattisgarh is steadily advancing on the path of progress, driven by the resolve to transform India into a developed and self-reliant nation by the year 2047.
