Secretary, Land Resources Department, Government of India, paid a courtesy call on the Chief Secretary

Shri Narendra Bhushan, Secretary, Department of Land Resources, Government of India, paid a courtesy call on Chief Secretary Shri Vikassheel at the Ministry’s Mahanadi Bhawan here today. During the meeting, they discussed in detail the innovations being undertaken for good governance in Chhattisgarh, including watershed management, PM Agriculture Irrigation, Chhattisgarh Bhuiyan, Registration and Stamp e-Court. Similarly, Shri Bhushan held a meeting with officials from the Chhattisgarh Government’s Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Commercial Tax Registration and Stamp, and Chhattisgarh State Watershed Management Agency, and reviewed departmental activities and progress in detail. 
During the meeting, Mrs. Shammi Abidi, Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, informed that land records in Chhattisgarh have been computerized. Modern record rooms have been created for land records. Land maps have also been digitized. Revenue cases are being resolved through the Revenue e-Court. The digital farmer book has been updated on the Bhuiyan portal. Any landowner can download their land information on the Bhuiyan portal. Similarly, auto-diversion of land is being implemented online. 
The Chhattisgarh Registration and Stamps Department has adopted modern technology in its procedures, registering documents through e-registration. The registration process has been simplified, made transparent, and paperless. Documents are now submitted online to the sub-registrar. WhatsApp alerts provide all updates from buyer-seller appointments to registration. A copy of the registry can also be downloaded from WhatsApp.

Officials from the Chhattisgarh State Watershed Management Agency reported that under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana – Watershed Development Component, a total of 45 projects were approved in 2021-22, covering 387 micro-watersheds in 43 development blocks across 27 districts, with a treated area of ​​2.50 lakh hectares and a cost of ₹613.66 crore. The project’s central and state share ratio is 60:40. The project duration is five years, starting from 2021-22 and ending in 2025-26. The Government of India released a central share of ₹30.14 billion (₹301.4 million) on April 28, 2026, extending the project period to September 30, 2026.

The meeting was attended by Secretary of Commercial Tax (Registration) Department, Mr. Bhuvnesh Yadav, Joint Secretary, Land Resources Department, Government of India, Mr. Nitin Khade, Director, Land Resources, Government of India, Mr. Shyam Kumar, along with senior officers of Revenue and Disaster Management, Registration and Stamp, Chhattisgarh State Watershed Management Agency of Chhattisgarh Government.
