Self-help groups sanctioned loans worth over Rs 2.43 crore at the Bank and Mudra Linkage Fair.

  • 200 women participated, self-employment and livelihood promotion will get a boost.

Under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (Bihar), a Bank Linkage and Mudra Linkage Fair was organized in the Janpad Panchayat Manora of Jashpur district. At the fair, various banks in the development block approved and distributed loans to self-help groups and women entrepreneurs.

    During the program, loans totaling ₹56.40 million were approved and distributed to 64 Mudra loan cases, and ₹18.75 million was approved and distributed to 75 self-help groups through bank linkage. This total provided loan assistance of ₹24.39 million.

    Nearly 200 women from self-help groups in the Manora development block participated in the fair. Information on self-employment, entrepreneurship development, and financial inclusion was also provided to the women. This event proved to be a significant step towards ensuring easy access to banking services and economically empowering women’s groups.

    District council members Mr. Ranjit Bhagat, Mr. Amin Khan, Mr. Rakesh Tiwari, Mr. Raghunath Ram, Chief Executive Officer of Manora Janpad Panchayat Mr. Ravi Baghel, Mr. Vincent Tirkey, representatives from various banks, and a large number of women from self-help groups were present at the event. With everyone’s cooperation, the event was successfully organized.
