- Inauguration of state-of-the-art laboratories and ground laying of boundary wall and two main entrances in Government Motilal Science College
Minister of Higher Education, Technical Education and AYUSH Shri Inder Singh Parmar said that Chief Minister Dr. Under the leadership of Mohan Yadav, the state government is continuously working to empower higher education institutions with modern infrastructure, research resources and quality educational facilities. Shiksha Ke Mandir is a powerful initiative to create a better citizen. The purpose of education is to create citizens imbued with character, morals, sense of duty, self-confidence and patriotism along with the acquisition of knowledge. The vision of Developed India@2047 will be realized only when our youth will actively participate in nation building with knowledge, skills, research, innovation and life values based on Indian vision.
Minister Shri Parmar was addressing the inauguration of state-of-the-art laboratories of Zoology, Chemistry, Botany and Physics constructed at a cost of about Rs.9 crore under the World Bank project of Department of Higher Education in Government Motilal Science College and the ground breaking ceremony of boundary wall and two main entrance gates of the college which was constructed at a cost of about Rs.2 crore.
Minister Shri Parmar said that in the year 2047, India will be a developed nation, based on the legacy of knowledge, science and research of its forefathers, which will fulfill the energy needs of the world and will play a leading role in feeding the entire world. India’s ancient knowledge tradition has always paved the way for the welfare of humanity and has the power to guide the world in the future as well.
Shri Parmar said that every Indian should have a sense of self-respect towards his glorious history, culture and heritage. India has imparted invaluable knowledge to the world in many fields including Mathematics, Engineering, Astronomy, Medical Sciences, Agriculture, Philosophy and Science. Referring to Acharya Chanakya and Emperor Chandragupta, he said that the Indian penal system produced such nation builders who changed the course of world history. Today’s requirement is that the new generation should imbibe the Indian tradition of knowledge and move forward with modern science and technology.
Minister Shri Parmar said that National Punishment Policy-2020 is a historic punishment policy designed in accordance with the spirit, culture and needs of India. He expressed his belief that on the strength of this system of punishment, India will again be recognized as Vishwaguru. Minister Shri Parmar said that quality based punishment system is being ensured in accordance with National Punishment Policy-2020. Indian knowledge tradition has been included in the first chapter of the first year of higher education.
Describing the Government Motilal Science College as one of the oldest educational institutes of Madhya Pradesh, Minister Shri Parmar said that both the students studying in this prestigious college and the teaching professors are fortunate. Over the years, this institute has provided many outstanding scientists, educationists, administrators and talented citizens to the region and the country.
Minister Shri Parmar said that the construction of boundary wall and main entrance gates is an important achievement in the direction of development of the college. This will strengthen the security and orderliness of the premises. Students, faculty and staff will enjoy a safe, disciplined and positive educational environment and the overall development of the college will get a new momentum. A safe and orderly campus will provide a more conducive environment for learning, research and co-curricular activities.
Minister Shri Parmar said that inauguration of state-of-the-art science laboratories is an important step to take the quality of higher education to new heights. In these laboratories, students will have access to modern resources for experimental studies, scientific research, innovation and research. This will develop their scientific vision, research ability and practical awareness and they will be able to perform well in national and international level competitions. He said that quality laboratories not only impart subject knowledge to students, but also connect them with the culture of discovery, research and innovation.
Minister Mr. Parmar said that the college administration should send proposals to the government regarding the requirements related to the development and infrastructure of the institute. Fulfilling every need related to the interests of the students is the highest priority and commitment of the state government.
During the program, Minister Shri Parmar inspected the new laboratories. On this occasion, he also planted saplings in the science garden located in the college premises. Interacted intimately with students and faculty and inspired them to actively contribute to research, innovation, excellence and nation building. Minister Shri Parmar expressed confidence that the Government Motilal Science College will play an important role in the development of a developed Madhya Pradesh and a developed India by establishing new heights in the field of quality education, scientific research and innovation.
The principal of the college Dr. Geeta Modi, Dr. Alka Pradhan, Dr. Sanjay Dixit, Dr. Professors, staff and a large number of students including Ashok Sharma were present.
