- Chhattisgarh Tourism Board has taken continuous initiatives for the convenience of tourists, now the process of operation on lease is proposed.
The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board has clarified the situation regarding the long-term closure of the cottages constructed for the convenience of tourists at Mata Kaushalya Dham, Chandkhuri. According to the Tourism Board, the department has made continuous efforts to restore the cottages. Three tender processes were conducted for their operation and maintenance, but each time the tender process had to be cancelled due to a lack of minimum required bids.
Mata Kaushalya Dham is being developed into an important religious and tourist destination in the state. The cottages have been constructed to provide better facilities to the visiting tourists. The Tourism Board has periodically adopted a tender process for their operation and management.
Following the first tender process, the minimum required bids were not received. Subsequently, a second tender was invited, but the minimum required bids were not received. The same situation persisted the third time. Consequently, as per the rules, all three tender processes had to be cancelled. The Tourism Board has continuously pursued the process to restore the cottages for tourist use.
- “A proposal for lease operation is now being prepared.”
According to the Tourism Board, a proposal is currently being prepared and the process is being proposed for lease operation of the cottages. The goal is to begin operation of the cottages upon completion, providing essential amenities, including accommodation and food, to tourists visiting Mata Kaushalya Dham. The convenience of pilgrims and tourists visiting Mata Kaushalya Dham is a priority for the department. To this end, alternative procedures are being adopted to ensure optimal utilization of available resources and to quickly make the cottages usable for tourists.
- “Continuous emphasis on enhancing tourism facilities”
Mata Kaushalya Dham is not only a center of religious faith, but also an important tourist destination linked to Chhattisgarh’s cultural and spiritual identity. Devotees and tourists from across the country and the state visit here. Therefore, strengthening accommodation and other essential facilities for tourists is a priority for the Tourism Board.
In this regard, preparations are underway to begin operating the cottages through a lease model. This step is being taken in light of the situation arising from the failure to receive the minimum required proposals in the three previous tender processes. A proposal for lease operation is being prepared and the process is being proposed. After the process is completed, the cottages will begin operation, providing better accommodation facilities to tourists visiting Mata Kaushalya Dham.
