- Sports talents of the region will get excellent training opportunities
Selection trials of various sports disciplines are being continuously conducted under the “Talent Search 2026-27” campaign conducted by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare with the aim of identifying the emerging sports talents of the region and providing them high level training through State Sports Academies and Day-Boarding Schemes. In the same order, selection trials of tennis and badminton day-boarding scheme will be held on 17th and 18th July from 11 am to 5 pm TT. It will be held at Nagar Stadium, Bhopal.
- Specialist training will be provided through the Tennis Day-Boarding Scheme
The selected players in the tennis day-boarding selection trials conducted in the talent search campaign will be given the opportunity of regular and scientific training, modern sports facilities, guidance of experienced coaches and competitive level preparation through the day-boarding scheme conducted by the department. The scheme is an important initiative towards preparing the talented tennis players of the region to excel at national and international level.
- Selection trials will also be held for Badminton Day-Boarding Scheme
Selection process for Badminton Day-Boarding Scheme will also be held on this occasion. Under the scheme, priority will be given to players in the age group of 10 to 12 years, while players above 12 years of age will be selected on the basis of performance in state level or higher competitions. Regular training, modern sports infrastructure and guidance from specialist coaches will be provided to the selected players.

Talent Search 2026-27 is an ambitious initiative of the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, through which talented sportspersons from across the region are being identified and connected with proper training and better sporting opportunities. Under the campaign, a large number of players are enthusiastically participating in the selection trials of various sports and showcasing their sporting abilities. The objective of the department is to provide proper guidance and resources to talented sportspersons of the region to prepare them for excellent performance at the national and international level.
