The 18th Foundation Day celebrations of Sainik School Ambikapur were held amid joy, enthusiasm, and dignity. The school’s glorious journey over 18 years, its achievements, and the talents of the cadets were showcased through various presentations.
Tourism and Culture Minister Mr. Rajesh Agrawal was the chief guest at the ceremony. Surguja Range Inspector General of Police Mr. Deepak Kumar Jha, Collector Mr. Ajit Vasant, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, along with senior officials from the division and district administration, and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
The program began with a guard of honor upon the arrival of the chief guest and special guests. Guests were welcomed with bouquets. The ceremony was then formally inaugurated with the lighting of lamps. Guests celebrated Foundation Day by cutting a cake to commemorate the school’s glorious journey of 18 years.
The school’s Principal, Colonel Rajesh Bainda, presented the annual report for the 2025-26 academic year. He detailed the school’s academic achievements, sports activities, co-curricular programs, and the cadets’ outstanding performance in various fields.
The cadets of the Sainik School gave impressive cultural performances at the ceremony. The welcome song, a folk dance based on Chhattisgarh’s rich folk culture, an inspiring silent performance, a patriotic chorus, and a cultural presentation based on the life and ideals of Lord Shri Ram enthralled the audience.
Chief Guest Mr. Rajesh Agarwal released the school magazine of Sainik School Ambikapur for the 2025-26 academic session. On this occasion, guests also observed the innovative “Sanskrit App,” developed by the cadets under the guidance of Sanskrit teacher Mr. Saurabh Kumar Jain. They appreciated the app’s usefulness and features.

The ceremony honored cadets who excelled in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities during the 2025-26 academic year. Trophies were presented to houses with outstanding performances in various areas.
Katari House and Arihant House were awarded the Best Co-Curricular House. Katari House and Arihant House were also honored for their outstanding performance in sports. Arjun Singh House and Tejas House were awarded the Best Academic House trophy for their outstanding academic performance.
The school officials, teachers, staff and general staff were honoured with commendation for their excellent work, dedication, commitment and significant contribution in the development of Sainik School Ambikapur.

At the end of the program, the school’s Vice Principal, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. P. Srinivas, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest, Special Guests, and dignitaries present. The ceremony concluded with a solemn ceremony with the singing of the National Anthem.
