Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that we are continuously active to fulfill the resolution taken by the state government for the welfare of farmers. Satisfying every problem of farmers is our highest priority. In Burhanpur, the weather in May and June caused a lot of damage to the crops. The crops of 8 thousand 115 farmers of 188 villages of Burhanpur Nagar, Burhanpur Rural, Nepanagar and Khaknar tehsils have been affected. In this crisis, the state government stands shoulder to shoulder with the farmers. Today relief amount of more than 107 crore 72 lakh rupees is being transferred in the accounts of more than 8 thousand farmers of the district affected by natural calamity with a single click. This amount will support the farmers in difficult times. Jab tak dobara smile on the faces of the farmers, the state government is not chained. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Balram Agricultural Festival held in Burhanpur on Thursday from Ujjain virtually. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the compensation amount was transferred to farmers’ accounts with a single click for crop losses. In-charge Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, MP Shri Dyaneshwar Patel, Former Minister and MLA Mrs. Archana Chitnis were present in the program organized in Burhanpur. Mrs. Chitnis included in VC from Burhanpur said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will be sent a rakhi made of silk from Burhanpur on Rakshabandhan.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated and wished the people of the region on the holy month of Shravan. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed the collectors that in the month of Shravan, all the necessary arrangements should be made for the kanvards from wherever the kanvard yatras are going to depart in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is rapidly completing many important tasks for the prosperity, dignity and welfare of farmers in the year 2026. He urged the farmers to adopt new technology, increase their income through natural farming, organic farming and horticulture crops. Farming provides raw materials for all types of industries and employment opportunities for the youth. The state government has prepared an action plan in collaboration with 16 departments to benefit the farmers through Krishak Kalyan Varsh. Balaram Krishi Mahotsav is being organized at the district level to double the income of the farmers. It started from mother Ahilyabai Holkar’s land in Indore.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that with the blessings of Tapti Maiya, Burhanpur area is famous for its horticultural crops. Here are delicious bananas, turmeric and cotton in apne aap mein beyhad khas hai. Here the coexistence of all religions is seen in the diversity of culture and farming. From agriculture to textiles, medicine to furniture and pipe equipment, many other materials are produced here. With the aim of facilitating cotton and textile production, the state government has halved the mandi tax on cotton, benefiting cotton farmers across the region. It is noteworthy that the demand for this first arose from Burhanpur district. Burhanpur has got national level honor for processing of banana crop. Now cloth and decorative items are also being prepared from the fiber. Burhanpur is getting new recognition in the country and the world through the sale of these products through the e-commerce platform.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that farmers of Burhanpur have paid special attention to diversification of crops in farming. Cotton crop along with handlooms empowers the workers associated with powerlooms. Instructions have been given to reduce the tax from Rs 1 to half in cotton markets of Khandwa and Burhanpur. Farmers of Burhanpur will also benefit from Dhar’s PM Mitra Park. Burhanpur is now moving towards becoming a big hub for processing, value addition, exports and not just raw materials. Various projects are being worked on for irrigation in the district. Irrigation area in Burhanpur has increased, our aim is to reach every farm.
- MoU for Manufacturing Zone of Telecom Sector in Gwalior
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is working on the Tapti mega recharge project in collaboration with Maharashtra. The state government is also working for investment promotion. He said that an MoU will be signed between the Government of India and the Government of Madhya Pradesh in New Delhi today to establish Gwalior as a manufacturing zone for the telecom sector. The state government is committed to provide employment to the youth and to provide farmers with good value for their produce. Mayor Mrs. Madhuri Atul Patel, District President Mr. Manoj Mane, Janpad Panchayat President Burhanpur Mrs. Sonali Pradeep Patel and many public representatives, a large number of farmers brothers and sisters and local citizens were present in the program organized in Burhanpur.
