- A well-equipped snake park will become a center for detection, protection and public awareness.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inspected the Reptile Park and Research Center on Thursday. During the inspection, the officials were directed to give special training to the Home Guard personnel to catch snakes and carry out safe rescue. He said that many times in the region there are incidents of snakes coming out in residential areas. At such times, the trained Home Guard jawans will be able to safely rescue the snakes while ensuring the safety of the citizens. This will also promote wildlife conservation and reduce fear among the public.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inspected the Reptile Park (Serpent Udyan) and Research Center under construction under Smart City Project in Basant Vihar area. During the inspection, he reviewed the progress of the construction work and received detailed information about the project from the officials.
- A snake park will be equipped with facilities
Reptile Park is being equipped with modern facilities. A special visitor zone for the visitors, an exhibition area for the display of different species of snakes and other reptiles, a public convenience centre, a hospital, a post-mortem room, an interpretation centre, a research centre, an education center and a state-of-the-art rescue center are being constructed here. Along with this, a snake park will also be developed, where information related to the natural behavior of snakes and their protection will be made available to people.

The purpose of the reptile park is not only to exhibit snakes, but also to develop a positive attitude towards snakes and other reptiles among people. The center will try to make people understand that most snakes are beneficial to the environment and have an important role in protecting biodiversity. Through the snake park, awareness of wildlife conservation will be increased among people, while children, students and researchers will also get an opportunity for scientific study of reptiles. This center will also play an important role in the direction of conservation of endangered species, importance of their natural habitats and conservation of biodiversity. Also, the injured or endangered snakes will be treated and rehabilitated through the rescue center.
