Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav transferred an amount of 1460 crore 25 lakh rupees to the accounts of 10 lakh 54 thousand farmers of the state with a single click. This is the claim amount of crop insurance for Kharif 2025 under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. Chief Minister Dr Yadav released this amount to the farmers immediately after the Council of Ministers meeting in Jagdishpur.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is particularly sensitive to protect the interests of farmers. Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana operates with the objective of providing assistance to farmers in case of crop loss due to natural calamities. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is with the farmers in every situation. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this time due to El-Nino effect, good monsoon is not expected. In such a situation, farmers should get insurance for their notified crops before the scheduled date. This will enable farmers to get financial assistance in case of yield loss. The state government is continuously working in the interest of farmers.

Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Mr. Edal Singh Kanshana said that under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana in the state, 30 thousand 942 crore 34 lakh rupees have been paid to the affected farmers from the year 2016-17 to the year 2024-25.
