The first supplementary budget of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai’s government was passed by voice vote in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly on 23 July 2024. In the first supplementary budget of Rs 7 thousand 329 crore presented by Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary for the year 2024-25 in the House, provisions have been made for many schemes and development works including Mahtari Vandan Yojana, PM Janman Yojana, sports facilities, Anganwadi Bhawan, etc. The Sai government has prepared this supplementary budget keeping in mind developed India and Chhattisgarh Vision 2047.
On the budget session, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade said that this budget will prove to be a big step towards making women self-reliant. She also said that an additional provision of Rs 4,900 crore has been made for the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. In this budget, all sections including the poor, women, middle class, small businessmen have been taken care of. So that the state can develop in all directions.
For this supplementary budget, Smt. Laxmi Rajwada congratulated and wished the successful Chief Minister of the state Shri Vishnudev Sai and the Finance Minister of the state Shri O.P. Choudhary on behalf of the people of the state and expressed gratitude.
