Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that for the expansion of tourism activities in the region and their better management, the activities should be coordinated with the Department of Tourism, Forest and Culture Department. This will also help in encouraging homestays located in rural and forest areas. It should be ensured that there is no delay in the issuance of permits for activities conducted by the Tourism Development Corporation to encourage private investment. Prompt, easy and transparent system should be ensured at every level. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reviewed the activities conducted by the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation in the ministry and gave necessary directions. Chief Secretary Mr. Ashok Barnwal, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Neeraj Mandaloi, Project Director State Tourism Development Corporation Dr. Ilayaraja T. and other officers were present.

  • Encourage private investment and develop convention centers in all major cities

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that hospital, trauma center, petrol pump, charging station etc. should be arranged along with road facility centers to be developed near national highways, state highways and greenfields in the region. Consideration should also be given to operating them on PPP mode. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that convention centers should be developed in all major cities of the region by encouraging private investment. He said that in order to encourage religious tourism, every possible support should be given in improving the system and travel to all the places related to faith.

  • Proceedings are also underway to give the status of tourism to industry

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that every 15-20 km on the Yatra route for the devotees joining the Kanvar Yatra starting in Sawan. But arrangements should be made for food-prasadi etc. Along with this, facility centers should also be arranged for the devotees. Cooperation with religious organizations and public participation should be encouraged in this system. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Bhagoria is a unique festival of Madhya Pradesh, the next year’s Bhagoria dates should be released now and publicized at the national level. A detailed review of departmental activities was done in the meeting. It was informed that action is also in progress to give the status of tourism to industry.
