Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang on Tuesday TT. He met and encouraged the players of the region who qualified for the upcoming Asian Games at Nagar Stadium. During this, he interacted intimately with the players and discussed in detail about their preparations, training, fitness and upcoming competitions and wished them all the best and called them to represent the country with full loyalty and confidence.
Minister Shri Sarang said that the selection of sportspersons from Madhya Pradesh in large numbers for prestigious international events like Asian Games is a matter of pride and honor for the entire region. This achievement is the result of the tireless efforts of the players, the dedication of the coaches and the continuous efforts of the state government for the development of sports. He said that today Madhya Pradesh is making its strong identity among the leading sports states of the country and the players here are continuously making the region proud by performing well in national and international competitions.
Minister Shri Sarang said that the state government is continuously working for the holistic development of sports. Modern sports infrastructure, high level training, scientific coaching, sports science, nutrition, accommodation and other necessary facilities are being provided to the players so that they can showcase their talent at the international level. It is the priority of the government that the talented sportspersons get the necessary support and opportunities at every level.
Minister Shri Sarang said that the Asian Games is not just a competition but an important opportunity to earn glory for the country. He has full confidence that the players of Madhya Pradesh will win more medals for India with their excellent performance and make the name of the state bright.
He asked the players to continue their preparations with discipline, dedication and positive thinking. The best wishes and faith of the entire region are with him. He also appreciated the coaches and officials of the sports department and said that the result of their guidance and dedication is that the players of Madhya Pradesh are constantly achieving new successes.
It is noteworthy that 22 athletes from Madhya Pradesh have qualified in various sports for the upcoming Asian Games. These include athletes from various sports including athletics, shooting, rifle, canoe slalom, canoeing, kayaking, shotgun, cloud judo, horse riding. The region has high expectations from these players to give a great performance and win a medal.
Secretary of Sports Department Mr. Sanjiv Singh, Director Mr. Anshuman Yadav, Deputy Secretary Mr. Ajay Srivastava, senior officials of Sports Department, coaches, representatives of sports academies and other dignitaries were present on this occasion. Congratulating all the selected sportsmen, Minister Shri Sarang said that entire Madhya Pradesh stands with them and he is confident that they will make the country and region proud with their performance.
