 Vice Chancellor Prof. Dayal met the Higher Education Minister

  • Discussion on the qualitative development and problems of the university

Professor Manoj Dayal, Vice Chancellor of Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication, paid a courtesy call on Chhattisgarh’s Honorable Higher Education Minister, Mr. Tank Ram Verma, on Thursday. The Vice Chancellor felicitated the Minister with a bouquet of flowers. During the meeting, extensive discussions were held regarding the university’s future, academic reforms, and infrastructure development.

Important suggestions for development were received
    During the meeting, Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma laid special emphasis on quantitative expansion as well as qualitative development in the university and improvement in the level of education. He shared many important suggestions and directions for making the university more advanced. Registrar Shri Sunil Kumar Sharma, who was present on the occasion, placed before the Minister the long pending problems of the university, which were discussed positively.

The university ‘s curriculum is centered on the National Education Policy ( NEP
)     . The university currently operates its courses in keeping with the core objectives of the National Education Policy ( NEP ): quality, equity, access, and affordability. In its media courses, students are being distanced from rote learning, focusing on critical thinking, creativity, multidisciplinary education, and skill development, enabling them to meet the challenges of modern journalism.


In view of the intense heat , an air-cooled reading room will be built in the library, providing great relief to the students.

    Vice-Chancellor Prof. Manoj Dayal, showing sensitivity towards the upcoming examinations and the studies of the students, has given important instructions to the university administration. In view of the intense heat, he has asked for arrangements for an air-cooled reading room in the library, so that the students can continue their studies smoothly without any problems.
