As part of the Chhattisgarh government’s ambitious initiative, “Good Governance Festival 2026,” the Municipal Council of Kondagaon organized a public problem-solving camp at the community hall in Vikas Nagar, Ward No. 8. At the camp, various departments provided services under one roof to listen to the problems of citizens from Wards No. 6 to 11 and to resolve them quickly.

Crowds of people gathered at the camp from early morning. Along with the Municipal Council, the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme, the Women and Child Development Department, the Labor Department, the Electricity Department, the Revenue Department, the Health Department, and the Indian Postal Department set up separate stalls to provide information about the schemes to citizens and also accepted applications.

A total of 44 applications were received during the camp, which included 15 demand-related and 29 complaint-related applications. Among these, maximum 31 applications were received from the Urban Administration Department, while 8 applications were received from the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme, 3 from the Women and Child Development Department, one each from the Food Department and the Electricity Department. An application related to ration card was resolved on the spot and a ration card was provided to the beneficiary. The Women and Child Development Department organised baby shower for six pregnant women, while the Annaprashan ceremony of a child was also organised. During this, the keys of a house were provided to a beneficiary under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Urban) 2.0.

At the Health Department’s stall, health check-up of 50 people was done. 39 children aged between 0 to 5 years were enrolled for Baal Aadhaar. People were also enthusiastic about updating their mobile numbers with Aadhaar. Six new accounts were also opened under the Indian Postal Payment Bank (IPPB). Online entry of other revenue matters including name transfer was done at the Revenue Department’s stall in the camp. On this occasion, officers and employees of various departments including public representatives were present.
