The “Seva Sankalp” campaign, being conducted across the state, is proving to be a boon for the needy and helpless families. Through the scheme, government services are being delivered transparently and promptly to the last person in society. Under this campaign, Mrs. Purnima Chandravanshi, a resident of Manikchauri Gram Panchayat, Patan Janpad Panchayat, Durg district, received prompt government assistance during her difficult time.
Mrs. Purnima Chandravanshi explained that after her husband’s sudden demise, her family was plunged into grief and their financial situation was dire. In this time of crisis, when she informed the Gram Panchayat about her husband’s passing, the Gram Panchayat Secretary, with a spirit of service, took prompt action. The Secretary immediately reviewed the 2002-03 BPL survey list, which found the family’s name listed below the poverty line. Following this, the process was completed immediately and Mrs. Purnima was asked to fill out an application form for the National Family Assistance Scheme. Due to administrative promptness, an assistance amount of 20,000 rupees was transferred directly to her bank account. This immediate financial support has brought immense relief to the family. Expressing her immense joy at this assistance during this time of crisis, Mrs. Purnima Chandravanshi expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Central and State governments for this service.
