IIT Bhilai Receives ‘Arohan Award’ and Mrs. Reshma Bano Honored with ‘vishisht seva samman (Distinguished Service Honor)’

at the 63rd half-yearly meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Bhilai-Durg, the Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai (IIT Bhilai) was honored with the ‘Arohan Award’ for the effective implementation and promotion of Hindi as the Official Language. On the occasion, Mrs. Reshma Bano, Hindi translator of the institute was also presented with the ‘vishisht seva samman’(Distinguished Service Honor) for her outstanding and dedicated services.
The awards recognize IIT Bhilai’s efforts to promote the use of Hindi in official work, increase its usage across the institute, and effectively follow Official Language guidelines.
Expressing his happiness over the achievement, Professor Rajiv Prakash, Director of IIT Bhilai and Chairman of the institute’s Official Language Implementation Committee, said that the award is the result of the collective efforts of all officers and employees of the institute. He noted that the effective use of Hindi not only makes official communication easier but also strengthens communication between the institute and society. He encouraged all members of the institute to make greater use of Hindi in their work.
The ‘Vishisht Seva Samman (Distinguished Service Honor)’ presented to Mrs. Reshma Bano recognizes her dedication, commitment, and outstanding service to the institute. The honor has brought a sense of pride and happiness to the entire IIT Bhilai community.
Under the guidance of Professor Rajiv Prakash, the Official Language Committee remains committed to promoting and implementing Hindi at IIT Bhilai. The institute will continue to encourage various activities and initiatives to further increase the use of Hindi in the future.
