Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade took review meeting of Balrampur district in charge, gave instructions to ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the last person

In a review meeting, the Minister of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, and Minister in charge of Balrampur district, Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, said that the benefits of the government’s public welfare schemes should reach the last person, and the impact of development works should be visible at the grassroots level. Officials should visit the field areas to regularly monitor the implementation of schemes and ensure quality and speed in the work. She said that overall development of the region is possible only through better coordination between the government and the administration. All departments should effectively discharge their responsibilities and ensure the expected progress within the stipulated time frame.

In the meeting, Minister Smt. Rajwade inquired about the status of cases pending in the court, undisputed and disputed account division, demarcation and AgriStake registration. She gave instructions to ensure 100% registration of farmers in AgriStake and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, so that no eligible farmer is deprived of the government schemes. While reviewing the storage and distribution of fertilizers and seeds, she gave instructions to make fertilizers and seeds available to farmers on time and to maintain transparency in the distribution process.

  • Munga will become the basis of nutrition

The Minister, while taking information about planting the nutritious tree Moringa in Anganwadi centers, gave instructions to plant Moringa tree in every house. He said that Moringa is a good source of nutrition, hence it should be made available to maximum number of families by linking it with the nutrition campaign. He also laid special emphasis on connecting the women of self-help groups under the National Rural Livelihood Mission with organic farming and vegetable production, so that along with increasing the income of women, the nutritional level of the family also improves.

  • Emphasis on quality of school buildings and safety of children

During a review of the School Education Department, Minister Smt. Rajwade directed that quality construction be ensured in under-construction school buildings and that repairs be made to buildings that require repair be completed on time. She emphasized that there should be no compromise on the safety of children. She also emphasized the need to provide better nutrition to students through invitation feasts and maintain the quality of food in ashram-hostels. She also directed that adequate water, cleanliness, and proper operation be ensured in community toilets in schools.

The Minister reviewed the Prime Minister’s Matru Vandana Yojana, e-KYC in the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the Anganwadi buildings under construction, and the Chief Minister’s Kanya Vivah Yojana. He directed that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of the schemes on time. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, he called for providing pure drinking water in rural areas, immediate repair of faulty hand pumps, and prioritizing water conservation and water harvesting.

  • Health and animal husbandry schemes also reviewed

While reviewing the health facilities, the Minister gave instructions to maintain cleanliness and necessary arrangements in the district hospital and to provide better medical facilities to the patients. While reviewing the Animal Husbandry Department, he took information about the progress of various schemes including artificial insemination, animal vaccination, Gaudham Yojana and stressed on connecting more and more animal herders with the schemes.
While reviewing the construction works of National Highway, Public Works Department, PMGSY and PM Janman Road, he gave instructions to pay special attention to the quality and time limit in all the construction works and to do regular monitoring. He also asked to mark and demarcate encroachment on government land and take action as per rules.

In the meeting, Collector Mrs. Chandan Sanjay Tripathi apprised the Minister about the progress of various schemes, including rainfall and sowing conditions, AgriStake registration, VB-G Ramji, Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas, PM Janman Awas, and Sughra Chhattisgarh Abhiyan. Superintendent of Police Mr. Vaibhav Banker provided information on crime, action taken under the NDPS Act, road accidents, and the helmet awareness campaign.

Divisional Forest Officer Mr. Alok Vajpayee provided information on departmental work. During this, Minister Mrs. Rajwade instructed to exercise special vigilance in elephant-affected areas, make regular announcements, and alert villagers in a timely manner. She said that all necessary arrangements should be made in advance to prevent loss of life in elephant-affected areas.

Samari MLA Smt. Uddheshwari Paikra, Pratappur MLA Smt. Shakuntala Singh Porte, District Panchayat President Smt. Hiramuni Nikunj, MLA representative Shri Balwant Singh and district officials were present in the meeting.
