- Sri Gharnighar Bhagwan Janmotsav and Balram Agriculture Festival organized in village Panda of Sarangpur
Farmers and agriculture have always enjoyed a place of honor in Indian culture. The idea of prosperous agriculture is not possible without protection of fields , water , soil and nature. Lord Shri Balaram is the symbol of agriculture , plow and labor related to the earth. Organizations like their birthday celebrations strengthen the sense of respect for the food giver along with imparting our agricultural traditions and rural culture to the new generation. Every person should take the responsibility of planting a tree along with its maintenance. Increasing public participation for water and land conservation especially in rural areas is the need of the hour. This was said by the Minister of State for Skill Development and Employment (Independent Charge) Shri Gautam Tetwal in the program of Shri Gharnighar Bhagwan Janmotsav and Shri Balram Agricultural Festival organized at Village Panda of Sarangpur Assembly Constituency.
Minister Shri Tetwal said that trees are not only a means of protecting the environment , but are also associated with water conservation , soil fertility and a better future for future generations. Agriculture culture and environmental protection are interrelated subjects. Raising awareness towards them in the society is the collective responsibility of all of us.

On the occasion of Shri Gharnighar Bhagwan Janmotsav and Shri Balaram Agricultural Festival, a grand chala function was conducted in village Panda. Minister Shri Tetwal participated in the procession and offered proper worship to Lord Shri Balaram and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the region and the prosperity of the farmers . After this, he reached Shri Gharnighar Radhakrishna Temple located in village Panda, offered darshan and worship and received the blessings of God. During this time there was special enthusiasm among the devotees in the temple premises and the whole area became devotional with cheers.
- A festival connected with agricultural tradition and farmer’s life
Sri Balaram Agricultural Festival is not limited to religious events only , rather it is an event deeply connected with Indian agricultural tradition and farmer’s life. Lord Shri Balaram is considered to be the symbol of agriculture , plow and labor related to the land. That’s why his birth festival has special importance in rural areas.
Through the festival, the message of agricultural culture , respect of food giver and importance of agriculture was given. Remembering the life of Lord Shri Balram and the agricultural messages associated with him, the sense of farmers’ hard work , responsibility towards the land and protection of agricultural traditions also came to the fore.
- Plantation of trees under ‘ Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam ‘ campaign
On the occasion of the festival, environmental protection was also combined with religious activities. Minister Shri Tetwal planted saplings under ‘ Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam ‘ campaign in Government Post Secondary School premises. He gave the message of conservation of water , land and environment through tree plantation . He said that plantation is not just a formal activity , but a resolution for a better future of future generations. Regular maintenance and protection is equally important along with planting. Conservation of water , soil fertility and conservation of natural resources requires the participation of every section of the society.
- A message of social and environmental concerns along with religious faith
Organized in Gram Panda, this festival is an event that combines social and environmental concerns with religious faith. The Agricultural Festival organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Balram ji highlighted the important role of farming and farmers in rural life. At the same time, the plantation program conveyed the message of collective responsibility in the direction of nature conservation.
Villagers actively participated in the program. During the Chal ceremony, the atmosphere of the village was filled with enthusiasm and devotion. The devotees visited Lord Shri Balram Ji and Shri Gharnighar Lord and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the region.
Former MLA Shri Gulab Singh Sustani , Vice President of Pradesh Kisan Morcha Shri Rajendra Singh , District President Shri Devnarayan Nagar , District Vice President Shri Kailash Nagar along with villagers and devotees were present on this occasion .
- An attempt to connect the new generation with agricultural culture
Efforts were also made to convey agricultural culture and traditions to the new generation in the rural areas through Balaram Agricultural Festival. Remembering the life of Lord Shri Balram and the agricultural messages associated with him, the sense of respect of farmers , their hard work and responsibility towards the land came to the fore.
