Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao reviewed the preparations for the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Service Pledge Campaign) in Dantewada today. He directed that the campaign, scheduled from September 17 to October 17, be given a broad scope through active public participation. He emphasized that the programs under the campaign should not be limited to the district headquarters but should be effectively organized at the Janpad, Tehsil, Nagar Panchayat, and Gram Panchayat levels.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao stressed the importance of ensuring the active participation of public representatives, social organizations, educational institutions, self-help groups, youth, women, and senior citizens. While reviewing department-wise preparations, he directed that all programs be implemented in a time-bound manner and monitored regularly. Various activities will be organized under the campaign, including ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ (Lamp of Blessings), ‘Seva ki Kahani’ (Story of Service), ‘Namo Seva Gatha’ (Namo Service Saga), ‘Aangan ka Utsav’ (Courtyard Celebration), ‘Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra’ (Procession of the Flame of Service), ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’ (Service: My Contribution), ‘Jal Jan Seva Sankalp’ (Water and Public Service Pledge), and ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan – Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ (Service Bridge Campaign – Government at Your Doorstep). Activities such as drawing and speech competitions in schools, nutrition awareness programs at Anganwadi centers, and initiatives related to cleanliness and public service will also be conducted.
Collector Shri Devesh Dhruv briefed the meeting on the district’s preparations, stating that a schedule of daily and date-wise programs is being drafted through meetings held at various levels to ensure widespread public participation. The Deputy Chief Minister directed that preparations be continuously monitored through regular reviews with all departments. He stated that the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ should not merely be a series of government programs but an opportunity to strengthen the resolve for service, dedication, and a ‘Viksit Bharat-2047’ (Developed India 2047) through public participation. District-level officials from all departments, including DFO Shri Ramakrishna Ranganatha Y. and Additional Collector Shri Rajesh Patra, were present at the review meeting.
