- ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ (Lamp of Blessings) enters the Golden Book of World Records for historic public participation
The ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ program, organized in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai to mark the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s public life, has scripted a new chapter in public participation and the spirit of service. While over 2.5 million lamps were lit at the main event in Raipur, the illumination of more than 15 million lamps across the state conveyed a message of service, good governance, and public participation. This historic event earned ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ a place in the Golden Book of World Records.
Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary described this achievement as a symbol of the widespread participation and collective resolve of the people of Chhattisgarh. He remarked that the enthusiasm and warmth with which the state’s residents participated in the ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ event—organized to commemorate the completion of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 25-year journey of public service—was unprecedented.
Shri Choudhary stated that the lighting of over 2.5 million lamps in Raipur and more than 15 million lamps across the state reflects the enthusiasm of Chhattisgarh’s people and the vast scale of public participation. It was not merely an event of lighting lamps but a collective celebration of public involvement in the spirit of service, good governance, and nation-building.
Through ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’, citizens, public representatives, social organizations, and people from all walks of life—spanning from villages to cities across the state—actively participated. The glow of the lamps expressed gratitude for Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 25-year journey of public service and embodied the spirit of a ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’ alongside the resolve for a ‘Developed India’ (Viksit Bharat). This widespread public participation earned ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ special recognition, and the event’s name was entered into the Golden Book of World Records. This achievement stands as a testament to the collective participation and enthusiasm of the people of Chhattisgarh.
