On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of the revered Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Ji, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the Aghor Guru Peeth located in Banora village, Raigarh district. At the place of worship, Chief Minister Shri Sai paid his respects and offered prayers before the statue of Aghoreshwar Avdhoot Bhagwan Ram Ji, wishing for the happiness, prosperity, peace, and well-being of the people of the state. He also met with the revered Baba Priyadarshi Ram Ji to seek his blessings and guidance.
Chief Minister Shri Sai interacted warmly with devotees and local residents within the ashram premises. Adhering to the ashram’s tradition of simplicity, he partook in Prasad while seated in the community dining line (Pangat). The ashram’s atmosphere, characterized by simplicity, a spirit of service, and spirituality, was evident during the visit.
Subsequently, Chief Minister Shri Sai attended the inauguration ceremony of the new building of Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Vidya Mandir. After inaugurating the new school building, he extended his best wishes to the school community, students, teachers, and local residents. The Chief Minister toured the school campus and viewed the science exhibition organized by the students. He showed keen interest in the various scientific models and innovations presented by the children, encouraging them by appreciating their curiosity, scientific mindset, and creativity. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the entire life of Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Ji was dedicated to the service of humanity, compassion, and social harmony. By linking spiritual practice with service to humanity, he presented a path to society that prioritized the service of the needy and the suffering above all else. The Banora Aghor Guru Peeth is continuously carrying forward this tradition of service.
The Chief Minister noted that the Banora Ashram has accomplished significant work in various fields of humanitarian service alongside fostering spiritual consciousness. From organizing health and eye camps to assisting the needy and providing artificial limbs to persons with disabilities, the Ashram’s numerous service activities have provided vital support to people’s lives. He remarked that this spirit of extending service to the last person in society is truly inspiring.
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the new building of Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Vidya Mandir marks a significant chapter in this journey of service, specifically in the realm of education. Equipped with modern facilities, this school will provide children in the region with new opportunities for quality education. The objective of education is not merely to impart bookish knowledge but to ensure the holistic development of a child’s personality and to instill values, sensitivity, and a sense of social responsibility. He expressed confidence that students educated at this Vidya Mandir would excel in knowledge and science while also internalizing the traditions of service and moral values.
He observed that we live in an era of rapidly evolving technology and science. There is no dearth of talent or potential among our children; what is needed is to provide them with good education, modern resources, and ample opportunities to showcase their talents. The science exhibition presented by the children at the school demonstrates their creativity and scientific mindset. Such initiatives instill in children the confidence to ask questions, develop new ideas, and move towards innovation.
Highlighting the role of the teaching faculty, Chief Minister Shri Sai remarked that teachers do not merely instruct students; they shape their personalities and futures. Teachers lay the strong foundation upon which the nation is built. He urged the school teachers to foster values, discipline, empathy, and a sense of social responsibility in the children, alongside imparting knowledge.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai also shared details of his family’s long-standing, personal connection with Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Ji and the Banora Ashram. He mentioned that his uncle, the late Kedarnath Sai Ji, was a devoted disciple of Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Ji. Consequently, an atmosphere of reverence for Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Ji and his philosophy of service has prevailed in the family since his childhood.
The Chief Minister recounted that he had the good fortune of receiving ‘darshan’ and blessings from ‘Baba’ on numerous occasions while traveling between his village, Bagiya, and Raigarh. Expressing his reverence for the revered Baba Priyadarshi Ram Ji, he noted that he has been receiving his affection, blessings, and guidance for years. He stated that visiting Banora always fills him with a sense of deep personal connection and spiritual peace.
The Chief Minister addressed the office-bearers of the Aghor Guru Peeth Trust, the saints, the teachers, and the members of the ashram……expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the service activities. He remarked that every act performed with a spirit of service for the welfare of society serves as an inspiration for future generations.
Addressing the ceremony, Finance Minister and Raigarh MLA Shri O.P. Chaudhary stated that the Banora Ashram is not merely a center for spiritual practice but has also become a vital hub for humanitarian service, education, healthcare, and social causes. The Ashram continues to uphold the legacy of service, kindness, compassion, and social harmony exemplified by Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Ji throughout his life and deeds.
Finance Minister Shri Chaudhary noted that the work undertaken by the Aghor Guru Peeth Trust over the years—spanning healthcare, education, and aid to the needy—serves as an inspiration to society. The new school building adds a robust dimension of education to this tradition of service. He expressed his hope for the continued expansion of the Ashram’s service activities under the guidance of Pujya Baba Priyadarshi Ram Ji.
- Modern School Spanning 100,000 Square Feet within an 8-Acre Campus
The new campus of Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Vidya Mandir, constructed by the Aghor Guru Peeth Trust, Banora, has been developed over an area of approximately 8 acres. The ‘G+2’ (Ground plus two-story) building, covering about 100,000 square feet, prioritizes student safety and holistic development alongside modern educational facilities.
The school building houses 41 classrooms and 9 modern laboratories. Facilities include a library for academic study and ‘smart classrooms’ to support technology-based learning. Arrangements for play equipment and activity-based learning have been made for nursery students to foster their physical, mental, and creative development from an early stage.
To ensure the smooth functioning of the school, a staff of 32 teachers and 14 administrative employees has been appointed. Equipped with modern educational resources, the campus will provide an environment conducive to discipline, values, and holistic development, alongside quality education. The life of Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Ji was dedicated to the ideals of service to humanity, compassion, and social harmony. He made empathy and service towards the neglected, deprived, and suffering sections of society a fundamental basis of spiritual practice. His efforts—particularly in reaching out to those affected by leprosy to serve them and treat them with a sense of belonging and dignity—became exemplary instances of his deep dedication to humanity.
Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram Ji’s life philosophy inspires one to see the Divine in every human being and fosters equality, love, compassion, and a spirit of helping the needy. He emphasized linking spirituality with social welfare and the well-being of humanity. The village of Banora in Raigarh district has carved a distinct niche for itself in the fields of education, healthcare, and social service, alongside spiritual practice. The foundation of the Aghor Guru Peeth Trust was laid here nearly three decades ago by the revered Baba Priyadarshi Ram Ji. Since its inception, the Trust and its affiliated organizations have continuously conducted numerous activities focused on aiding the needy, providing healthcare services, promoting education, and fostering social values.
This journey of service, which began in Banora, has expanded over time to reach various other regions and states. The tradition of integrating spiritual practice with human welfare remains the ashram’s hallmark.
